following photo sequence contains some content that could
be considered explicit by some non-animal loving
individuals. If you are easily offended or very
sensitive to explicit content, you should not look at
these photos that include some of swans mating.
Though, I do
not find anything offensive in these pictures and think
they are perfectly acceptable for any viewing audience,
it may be possible that some individuals may find offense
in the wildlife photographs that follow, and if you are
that individual just don't look!

| Some
of you might have thought that you would never in your
lifetime see the swan mating ritual. It is not something
I had ever heard of or seen prior to them actually doing
it right in front of me, as you will see. So, for those
of you who will never actually have the opportunity to
see this as I have, I have posted these pictures to share
it with you. And, all that I will say about it, is that
it happened completely by surprise and left me with my
jaw on the ground when it was over. The pictures really
can not convey the scene that unexpectedly unfolded in
front of me and that I just instinctively started
snapping the photos... Now, I truly wish I had a better
lense on that camera! And, the next time I see it
starting, I will try to get the pictures that I missed
from this sequence, that occurred before I realized what
was going on! |

| And,
just so you do not go through life with any
misconceptions, the first three photos where the swans
are nuzzling actually occurred after the other photos.
But, it makes a better plot the other way... And one
final thing for you to think about... that female has
been sitting on the eggs for about four weeks now that
were laid that long ago... so why is this necessary? hmmm...
