Kasumi's thoughts: Is he possibly...saying all that for me? But "best place" means that it'll be really expensive. I wonder if I'll have enough money.

(Kasumi and the man eat on a stairway outside}

Kasumi: You're okay with a sandwich and mineral water? I thought it was going to be a more high-class place.

Man: It's alright if it's not expensive 'cause I like it that way. A great outlook of the scenery, the wind that feels good, a girl sitting next to me. What more can I ask for?

Man: Don't you think?

Kasumi: Y...yeah.

Kasumi's thoughts: Shinoki-san would probably get mad and say that it's outrageous to sit outside and eat on the stairs. What's his name? I wonders if he's been living in Rome for a long time.

Man: Did you come by yourself? With Japanese women, if there's 2-3 of them together, you can pretty much tell that they're here on tour and want to by brand name goods. If they're by themselves, they pose as if they're heroines, but the pattern is usually that they're on a heart-break vacation.

Kasumi's mom: Even if I did call you, it's useless if you leave on a heart-break vacation without telling your parents. I'm glad I had a key.

Kasumi: Ha ha ha. So? What? Did you come back for your job?

Kasumi's mom: Kasumi...listen carefully, okay?...when you were 5 years old, you remember me getting a divorce, right? That ex-husband...meaning your father...you probably don't remember him much, but...

Kasumi's mom: Last week, he passed away in an accident. I came back here to attend the funeral service.

Kasumi: Father...what is this all of sudden!? I have never met him once in 15 years!

Kasumi's mom: It was that kind of a promise and I only saw him about once or twice after the divorce too.

Kasumi's thoughts: What...this is all too sudden.

Kasumi's mom: And...there's one more thing. I want you to live with your sibling that your father took care of.

Kasumi: What...Wh, why!? Why do you ask that, Kazuki?

Kasumi's thoughts: He's sharp!

Kazuki: Well, because you just seem a little different from before...

Yoshiki: I want to study archeaology and Europe is the treasure of historic ruins.

Kasumi's thoughts: When I met him, he was working at the ancient excavation site near Foro Romano. I didn't think much about what he was doing, but I didn't think that he was this smart! Why are we so different when we're siblings?

Yoshiki: Since I'm back in Japan now, I'm thinking about taking the college entrance exams.

Kasumi's mom: Wow! Then will you live with Kasumi!?
