Part 1

Kayano and her friends, Haru and Nachan, nervously wait behind a building corner for Kayano's love interest, Kamijou, to pass by. She has decided to confess her love to him once and for all. Kamijou starts to walk towards them and Kayano's friends tell her to go to him, but she starts trembling with fear. Haru pushes her to go forward and Kayano hands out a letter and confesses her love to him!...BUT when she opens her eyes, she realizes that it's NOT Kamijou, but some other guy that she doesn't even know! The guy says, "...are you stupid?", and Kayano gets embarassed and runs away.

Back at the girls' classroom, Haru scolds Kayano for being so dumb and Nachan warns Kayano about the guy she mistankenly handed the letter to. Kayano has no idea who he is and Nachan tells her that he's the popular sophmore, Takeru Edogawa, whose the son of the chairman (of the school), and has been called the "super problem child". Kayano gets even more depressed, so Haru tries to cheer her up saying "It's not like you got rejected by Kamijou. Why don't you go try giving the letter to him one more time?" Kayano agrees, but realizes that she lost the letter!

She tries to find the letter in the grass, but it's nowhere to be found. Kamijou sees Kayano looking through the grass and asks her what she's doing. Kayano gets nervous and tells him that she's looking for a specific grass. Kamijou advises Kayano to go home before it gets too dark and Kayano is very happy that she got to talk to him for the first time!

Kayano decides to go home and hopes that the letter went somewhere far, far away.

The next morning, Kayano decides to go to school early to try to find the letter one more time. She realizes that somebody is there and it's Takeru-kun! She tries to run away, but Takeru stops her by asking her if she found what she was looking for, as he holds up the letter. Kayano is relieved and thanks Takeru for the letter, but Takeru takes the letter away and asks, "Why?". Kayano is confused and asks him what he's talking about. Takeru continues saying, "Do you think I'd really come to school early just to give this letter to you?" Takeru tells her that he wants her to be his servant, but Kayano refuses and tells him to stop joking around. Then Takeru gives her a dirty look and says that he'll copy her letter, go on the rooftop and scatter her letter around for everyone to see. Kayano turns pale and follows Takeru to his classroom where there's a bunch of weird, bad-looking guys who won't stop teasing her.

Back at Kayano's classroom, Kayano tells her friends what happened and Haru gets very angry and decides to go tell Takeru that this whole thing is stupid. Kayano thanks her and they all go to Takeru's classroom. He comes out with his shirt off and Haru and Nachan are left speechless (attracted to him). Takeru asks them what they want and Haru pushes Kayano towards Takeru and tells him to that she'll gladly let Kayano be his servant.

Kayano is forced to stay in Takeru's classroom. The teacher notices Kayano and asks why she is there. Kayano is happy that the teacher noticed and hopes that he will save her...but when the teacher finds out that it was Takeru who brought her in, the teacher backs down and continues on with class! Takeru tells her that there's nothing she can do and that he always gets what he wants. Kayano asks him what his intentions are and Takeru replies, "Nothing...I just like messing around with the girls." Kayano cannot believe how evil he is!

(The next day or a few days later??) Kayano is running down the school hallway to give Takeru the stuff he told her to go and buy. Some girl trips her and Kayano falls face-down to the floor. The girl tells her to stay away from "Takeru-sama" and that Kayano's only a toy to him. Kayano yells, "I'm not doing this because I want to! As long as I can get that letter..." Just then, Kamijou comes and asks what's going on. The girls go away and Kamijou asks if she's alright. As they are talking, Kayano is happy that Kamijou is worried about her. Then she realizes that there's nothing to be afraid of if she confesses her love to him once and for all.

When Kayano tells Takeru that she's going to confess her love to Kamijou, Takeru doesn't believe her and asks if she can really do it. Kayano tells him that she can and that she can't scare her anymore and that she won't do anything he tells her to do anymore. Takeru asks her if it's really alright and Kayano yells at him, "Go ahead and do whatever you want!!" She walks out of his classroom and passes by the girl that had bullied her earlier (but Kayano doesn't notice her). The bully girl walks into Takeru's classroom and one of Takeru's friends say it's Rika-chan. Rika goes up to Takeru and asks him to eat the cookies that she made. Takeru tells her that he doesn't want any and tells her to stop calling him "Takeru-sama". Takeru's friend asks him if he's in his angry mode and Takeru annoyingly tells him no. Rika looks unhappy and has a dark look on her face...like she's up to something.

The next morning, at school, Kayano bumps into Kamijou and they walk to their classroom together. Kayano is happy that she is talking to him normally. Before they enter their classroom, Kayano asks him what he's doing during his lunch break, but before she could finish asking, their classmates are making a big deal that the 2 entered the classroom together. One of their classmates points to a letter on the chalkboard and says, "Kamijou, Saitou (Kayano) says that she likes you the best when you're playing basketball!" Kayano doesn't really understand what's going on until she sees her love letter taped to the chalkboard! Kayano runs to the chalkboard and rips off her letter. The classmates are still making a big deal about the letter and Kamijou yells, "Shut the hell up! You guys stop doing childish things like your in elementary school! It's annoying!!" Kayano is hurt by Kamijou's words and runs out of the classroom. Haru and Nachan see Kayano run out as Kamijou chases after her and they are wondering what is going on.

Kayano is so angry that Takeru would do such a thing, so she storms into his classroom and slaps him. The whole class is in silence. Takeru is mad and asks what that was for. Kayano throws down the letter and tells him to stop all this mess and yells, "It was you who put that letter up there, right!? Are you that happy to see me be troubled all the time!? You're crazy! You're missing something. You do these things because you've never loved anyone before! Even though you think you can get whatever you want, you're not going to get someone's feelings!!" Takeru asks if that's all she wanted to say. Kayano is stunned that he's so calm as he looks at her with his cold eyes. Then he says, "If I really want something, I will get it. You better be prepared." Kayano runs out of the classroom and believes that there's really something wrong with him.

Kamijou finds Kayano and catches up to her. Kayano has a flashback of Kamijou saying "annoying" and apologizes to him for getting him into this too. She starts to cry and Kamijou hands her a handkerchief and tells her that he doesn't think that Kayano is a bother at all. Kayano looks up in suprise and the bell rings. Kamijou is embarassed and heads back to class. Kayano is left in disbelief.

In Kayano's classroom, Kayano tells Haru and Nachan what had happened. Haru is happy for her and tells her that it's looking good. Kayano says that she doesn't know yet because maybe he said those things because she was crying. Kayano tells them that she is worried about what Takeru will do next, but her friends tell her not to worry. Kayano agrees, but not convincingly.

When Kayano gets home from school, her mom throws some party poppers towards her and is in a very good mood. Kayano asks what is going on and her mom shows her the ring on her finger. She tells Kayano that she has finally been proposed to. Kayano can't believe that her mom is going to get married again. Her mom begins to tell Kayano about her fiancee and asks if Kayano's okay with it. Kayano says that she doesn't know since she's never even met her fiancee yet. Then her mom tells her that Kayano knows who it is. Kayano is confused and her mom tells her that it's the chairman of Kayano's school. Just then, the door bell rings and while Kayano's mom is getting the door, Kayano starts thinking about the chairman of her school and wonders what he looks like. Then she realizes that it's the father of Takeru! She calls after her mom and runs to the door. At the doorway is Takeru and her mom introduces him as her fiancee's son and her future little brother. Takeru smiles and says, "Nice to meet you, ONEICHAN (older sister)." Kayano turns pale and wishes this were all a dream.

Part 2

Kayano tells Haru and Nachan that Takeru is going to be her little brother and says, "My life was pretty short..." and puts her head on her desk. Haru and Nachan tell her to explain and Kayano flashes back to the night Takeru came over...

Her mom tells Kayano that she invited Takeru over because she heard that his father was always working and that he always eats by himself. During the dinner, Kayano starts complaining to her mom about what is going on and asks her mom if she even knows what kind of person Takeru is. Kayano's mom starts to cry and says, "You were always close to your dad, so you're probably thinking badly of me...because I'm in love with someone besides your father...you think I'm a betrayer, don't you!?" Kayano's mom begins to wail and throw everything around on the table. Takeru says, "It's alright, Tokiko-san (Kayano's mom), Oneichan (Kayano) probably just doesn't like me." Kayano's mom tells him that that's not true and Takeru goes on to say, "I thought I was finally going to have a family..." Kayano's mom feels sorry for him and tells him that he's a son to her. Kayano cannot believe that she looks like the bad person in all of this.

Haru and Nachan are in disbelief with the story and Nachan asks if that just happened by chance. Kayano tells them that she doesn't know and that she thinks that Takeru probably used some kind of black magic. Haru and Nachan tell Kayano to pull it together and tells her that she has an angel on her side and points to Kamijou.

Kayano goes up to Kamijou and returns his handkerchief to him. Kayano gets nervous and is about say something, but as soon as she starts to, she begins to say something in a really loud voice Kamijou jerks and drops his books. Kayano apologizes and reaches down to help him with the books. They touch each other's hands, look at each other, and are in a very good situtation when Takeru goes in between them and bothers them. Kayano turns pale and tells Takeru to go to his classroom. Kamijou asks Kayano if it's someone she knows and Kayano tells him that Takeru's her brother and explains to him that her mother is marrying his father. Kamijou extends his hand out to shake Takeru's hand, but Takeru does not extend his, so Kamijou starts to get nervous. Then Takeru smiles and gives Kamijou all sorts of compliments on how good Kamijou plays basketball and Kamijou is flattered. Takeru then says that because he admires the way Kamijou plays basketball, he would like to try playing too. Kamijou tells him that he could come and check it out anytime and Kayano turns pale.

Later, Kayano goes up to Takeru and asks him what he's trying to do by getting close to Kamijou. He tells her that there's nothing wrong with him wanting to basketball when he used to play basketball himself. Then, Takeru's friends pull Kayano aside and ask her (whispering) why she's still alive when she hit Takeru. They tell her that it's not unusual for her to have about 2 or 3 bones broken. Kayano turns pale and realizes that this is all him trying to get back at her. Takeru gets up and tells all his friends that whoever wants to play basketball should follow him. Kayano starts to panick and wants to do something about it, so she grabs Kamijou and asks if she could study Kamijou playing basketball too.

Kayano follows Kamijou to the basketball court thinking that she has to somehow protect Kamijou. When they get there, Takeru and his friends have already taken over the court being rowdy (and the team members are on the sidelines watching them in terror). Takeru grabs Kamijou's arm and childlishly says that he wants to play basketball with him. Kamijou is flattered once again and goes with him. Kayano is worried that everything is going according to Takeru's plan. They start to play basketball and Kayano is impressed that Takeru can play really good.

One of the team members on the sidelines starts to bad mouth Takeru saying that he got kicked out of basketball in junior high because he hit the advisor. He continues to say that ever since junior high, he's always been causing problems and doing whatever he wants and that all his friends are probably with him because he has money and power. Takeru's friend interrupts them and tells them that they are wrong. He tells a story about a boy who was fat in junior high and was a bother to the basketball team. He was on the team for 2 years and was never able to touch the ball. One day, the advisor told him that he's in the way just by being there. Takeru heard this and started hitting the advisor. That's how Takeru got kicked out..."by protecting me. Yup, that fat kid was me. All the guys in our class are weird, but everybody's with Takeru not because he's the chairman's son, but because everybody loves him." Kayano is suprised and notices that he's already become friends with the team members.

Kayano begins to wonder what she's doing at the basketball court. While Kayano is worrying about nonsense, the teammates ask Takeru to join their team. Takeru says that he will as long as Kayano will be the manager. Kayano gives him a mean look, but agrees to do it since Kamijou says that they were looking for a manager anyway. Then Kayano starts to get happy because this means that she'll be with Kamijou even more. She fantasizes about her and Kamijou getting along as "captain and manager", but it doesn't go as she wants as long as Takeru is on the team too. He's constantly asking Kayano for something!

Kayano is walking back to the basketball court with 2 full bags of jugs of water she had to buy for the team. She looks down and starts to get upset about how she always has to do what Takeru says and how she hardly ever gets to talk to Kamijou. When she looks up, Rika and her friends are in front of her and Kayano jumps with suprise. She asks them want they want and Rika asks her what is going on. She says, "I got that letter back for you, so why are you still around Takeru-sama?" Kayano doesn't understand what letter she is talking about and Rika tells her that she's talking about the love letter that Kayano wrote to the basketball team's captain. Rika's friends agree with her and continue to hammer Kayano with questions of why she's still around Takeru. Kayano realizes that Takeru had nothing to do with the letter and turns pale when she has flashbacks of yelling at him and then hitting him. One of the girls pushes Kayano and shouts, "Hey! Are you even listening!?" Then a middle-aged man comes and tells them to stop bullying weak people. He scares them away and Kayano thanks him. The man hugs her and tells her how cute she is. Kayano shrieks! Then Takeru comes to the rescue and throws a basketball into the man's back. The man turns around and says, "Takeru!! I wanted to see you!" and starts to rub his head. Takeru tells him to get away and Kayano realizes that it's Takeru's father! Takeru's father starts to hug Kayano again and Takeru throws the ball at him again and tells his father to quit it. His father apologizes and explains that Kayano just looks so much like her mother. Takeru yells at him saying that he's scaring her. His father says, "Geez, Takeru...you were happy too when you heard that you were going to have a sister." Takeru turns a little red and yells, "Shut the hell up, old man! Go somewhere else!!" Kayano can't believe what she's hearing. Takeru's father's assistant comes and takes him away as his father waves goodbye. Kayano looks over at Takeru and wonders if he's embarassed. She says, "You get along great with your dad." Takeru gets mad and asks how she can even think that they get along after all the yelling towards his father. Kayano tells him that he just seems a little more softer. He replies, "What are you trying to say here!?", as he picks up Kayano's bags. Kayano begins to realize that Takeru is really a nice person and then bows her head down and apologizes to him for saying such horrible things to him when he wasn't even the one who put the letter up on the chalkboard. She tells him that she won't ask for his forgiveness, but for the time being, he can hit her.

Back at the basketball court, Kamijou asks one of his teammates where Kayano is. He tells Kamijou that she went to go buy some water. Kamijou tells him that that's too heavy for just one person and the teammmate says, "That's what Takeru said too, so he went to go look after her." Kamijou comments that they're kind of late.

Takeru asks Kayano if she's serious. Kayano tells him that this is the only way that she'll feel better. Takeru starts to scare her by telling her that her teeth might break or her face might change shape, but Kayano tells him to go ahead and do it. Takeru tells her to close her eyes. He's about to punch her, but instead, he kisses her! Kayano opens her eyes and pushes away from Takeru in shock! Takeru says, "I told you, right? I always get want I want. I want you." Just then, Kamijou walks towards them and he is shocked too. He asks them, "Aren't you guys brother and sister?" Kayano is panicking and doesn't know what to do. Takeru pulls Kayano towards him and says, "Yup, we're going to be future siblings. We're going to be naughty siblings doing things like this all the time." Kayano turns pale and thinks, Do something with this guy!!!!

Part 3

Kayano thoughts...There's nothing I can do anyomore. It's all over!! Takeru tells Kamijou sorry in a sarcastic way and Kayano starts to say something, but Kamijou interrupts her and says that there's nothing they have to apologize for since it's there freedom to do whatever they want with their romance and says that he has nothing to do with it anyway. This hurts Kayano badly. Kamijou turns around and tells them to go back to court if they're done shopping. Takeru's bored that Kamijou had such a weak reaction. Kayano yells at Takeru and tells him to stop playing around. She yells, "Now, there's this huge misunderstanding!" Takeru replies, "Who cares? It's reality anyway." Kayano can't believe what he's saying and Takeru teases her and asks if she wants to do it one more time. Kayano is upset that her first kiss got stolen by her future brother.

During basketball practice, the ball gets passed to Kamijou, but he's so out of it that it hits him in the head and he falls to the ground. His teammates run to him and ask him if he's okay, but Kamijou just mumbles, "Ha ha...siblings...wow...ha ha...". His teammates start to panick and wonder what's going on with the basketball team lately (in a humurous way).

A few days later, after school, Haru asks if Kayano is going to skip basketball practice again. Kayano, depressed, tells her that she's not going anymore because it's all over. Haru tells her to just fix the misunderstanding and Kamijou will understand too. Kayano continues with her pessimism and says that she's not even going to bother since Kamijou probably already thinks of her as some half-hearted girl. Haru yells, "You want it all to end this way!? Geez!" Nachan pokes Haru and tells her to look in her direction. Kayano, looking down, says that it's okay since she was just Takeru's slave all the time anyway. Nachan and Haru see Kamijou and push him towards Kayano. Kayano looks up at him in shock. Kamijou asks her if she's going home. Kayano starts to say something to him about being the manager, but Kamijou cuts her off and tells her not to come anymore. He harshly says, "If the manager doesn't come for so many days, it causes trouble on us too. We don't want a manager that's not all into it." Kayano apologizes and takes off. Haru yells at Kamijou and tells him that Kayano is trying her best too. She shouts, "You know that Kayano likes you! She's just always bothered by that guy, Takeru!" Nachan also shouts, "Yeah! Kayano is deeply hurt! You could at least hear what she has to say! I thought you were a better guy than that." Kamijou gets fed up with all the yelling and slams his fist hard into the lockers and yells, "Enough! I'm pissed too, alright!?" As Kamijou walks off, Haru and Nachan are both stunned to see a different side of Kamijou. Haru even comments that he looked kinda cool.

Kayano walks home thinking that Kamijou really hates her now. When she gets home, she sees a letter that her mom had left on the table and begins to read it. Her mom writes that her aunt's sister had passed away, so she's gone to see them and won't be back for a few days. Then Kayano starts to freak out when the letter continues on to say that Mamoru-san (Takeru's father) will be taking care of her. Kayano absolutely does not want to go because then she will have to see Takeru! The doorbell rings and Kayano goes to the door. When she opens the door, there are 3 suspicious-looking men in suits with sunglasses and they grab Kayano saying that they're taking her to Edogawa's (Takeru's) house.

Kayano arrives at Takeru's house and Takeru's father welcomes her with a nice, warm smile. Kayano tells him that she'll be fine on her own, but Takeru's father will not accept that since her mom asked him to take care of Kayano. Takeru's father decides to show Kayano some picture albums of Takeru when he was a child. Kayano has some fun looking at the pictures and sees a picture of Takeru and a pretty woman. She sees that Takeru is really happy in this picture. She asks if the lady is his mother. Takeru's father is silent for a moment and mumbles that he thought he had put all those pictures in a seperate place. Kayano remembers that they got a divorce and apologizes for asking. He tells her that it's okay and says, "She left the house...when Takeru was 5 years old. At that time, I was really into making the school big and left all the housework to my wife, so I wasn't able to take care of them much. I'm the one who seperated Takeru and his mom when it was the period when children are in most need of their mom...I wasn't able to show him the warmth of a family. I should be disqualified as a father." Kayano tells him that Takeru probably feels the love his father is trying to give to him now. She tells him that Takeru becomes a softer person around him. Takeru's father lightens up and tells Kayano that she can probably understand Takeru and asks her to take care of him. Kayano starts to worry thinking that there's no way she can take care of such a guy.

Takeru comes home and he and Kayano sit at the kitchen table while Takeru's father cooks. Takeru and his father start the usual joking around and yelling and Kayano lets out a laugh. Takeru glares at her, so Kayano quickly gets up and starts to help his father. Takeru watches her in a sweet way as Kayano is helping. Kayano looks over at him and sees this soft expression on his face and her heart starts to race. She doesn't know what to think of him...She starts to think about all the trouble he has caused her and how troublesome he is, but then Takeru's father's quotes come into her thoughts..."You are the one who can probably understand Takeru. He may not look like it, but he hates to be alone." She wonders which is the real Takeru.

At night, the 3 play some video games together and in the morning, Kayano wakes up next to Takeru. She doesn't realize where she is at first and then starts to freak out when she remembers that she's at Takeru's house and Takeru slept right next to her! Takeru tells her that she was talking in her sleep saying that she loved him. Kayano turns red and yells, "Stop lying!!!!" Kayano goes to the bathroom to wash her face and starts thinking about how funny she's acting ever since she saw that warm expression on Takeru's face and how she can't stop thinking about it.

Takeru, his father, and Kayano arrive to school together in a Benz luxury car and all the students stare at them and talk about them. Kayano hurriedly walks passed them and Takeru tells his father that this is why he did not want to come with him.

When Kayano gets to her classroom, Haru yells, "Kayano! I heard that you arrived to school today with the Edogawa family in a Benz!" Haru says this loud enough for Kamijou to hear and he listens in on their conversation. Kayano explains that Takeru's father pushed her into coming with them since they were all going to the same place anyway. Haru asks, "What do you mean, 'come with them'? Do you mean that you STAYED OVERNIGHT at Takeru's house!?" Kamijou hears this clearly and Kayano tells Haru to keep her voice down.

The teacher comes in the classroom and asks the class duty person, which is Kayano, to get the world map, so Kayano leaves the room to get it. As soon as Kayano leaves, Haru and Nachan sit right behind Kamijou and start talking even more about Kayano staying over at Takeru's place and how dangerous it could be since he already stole her kiss. Kamijou gets up and glares and Haru and Nachan.

As Kayano is getting the map from the reference room, Kamijou comes in and asks her what he should do. He tells her that he had liked Kayano from a long time ago and that he was very happy when he found out that Kayano liked him as well. Then he says, "...but that girl kissed some other guy." Kayano can't believe that Kamijou had liked her for a long time. Kayano explains that the kiss was not her choice, but Kamijou cuts her off and says, "Who cares! It's a fact that you kissed him, right!? I'm mad, jealous, and ashamed...I feel like I'm going crazy. What should I do?" Kayano sees that Kamijou is acting strange and starts to get scared. Kamijou tells her that he's tired of being a nice guy and shuts the door behind him.

Part 4

*******Kayano flashes back to the beginning of her sophmore year*******Haru is upset that there are no good looking or eye-catching guys around in their class, but Kayano notices Kamijou and asks who that nice-looking guy is. Nachan tells her that he used to go to her junior high and was well-liked by everyone and says that he'd probably be a good match for Kayano*******

Kayano's thoughts...ever since that conversation, I just always thought that that was Kamijou-kun's personality. That he was a really nice guy...

Back in the classroom, Haru and Nachan mention that it's been 5 minutes since Kayano left and wonders what is going on. Takeru comes up behind them and asks them what they're talking about.

Kamijou slams his fist against the wall and corners Kayano. He asks her if she likes him and Kayano is too scared to answer. Then she says, "You're not the type of person who would do this, Kamijou-kun...". Kamijou gets mad and yells, "What the hell is that? What do you know about me? You just make me the way you want me to be in your head!!" Just then, Takeru walks in and tells Kamijou to do those type of things where there's a lock on the door. Haru and Nachan are behind Takeru and are apologizing. Kamijou walks out and doesn't say a word. Takeru tells Kayano that he left her lunch on her desk. Kayano looks at Takeru, turns red, and runs off. Haru and Nachan run after her. Haru grabs Kayano and tells her that she's sorry for telling Takeru about Kamijou, but Takeru forced them to take him to her. Kayano starts to cry and tells her that she's not crying because of the interruption, but because she's relieved. She tells them that Kamijou was kind of scary and that he wasn't the person she thought he was. She said that she started getting confused and couldn't understand what she liked about Kamijou. Haru gets mad and asks Kayano if she realizes that she said a horrible thing to Kamijou. Haru says, "That's what you call being in love with love. You, yourself, don't want to get hurt and while you're confused and not thinking seriously about it, someone gets hurt in return." Haru walks away and says that she feels stupid for trying so hard to help her out. Kayano is shocked and says nothing to Haru.

At basketball practice, Kamijou is depressed and sitting in a corner. His teammates are concerned and wonders what happened to him. Takeru goes up to Kamijou and asks if he has anything to say to him. Kamijou doesnt say anything. Takeru tells him that Kamijou has a sad personality because he can't say what he wants to say and that probably causes him a lot of stress. He tells Kamijou that he doesn't have to be that "nice person" that he is around Kayano right now. Kamijou gets pissed and slams Takeru to the ground and is about to punch him, but stops when he sees that Takeru isn't flinching at all. He asks Takeru why his eyes are open and tells him to at least try to defend himself, but Takeru simply replies that he just wanted to see Kamijou's mad expression. Kamijou gets even more angry and yells, "What the hell is with you!? Are you trying to make fun of me!? You come into my life all of a sudden and mess everything up! If you didn't come along, thing's would've been fine! You asshole! I can't believe you guys are going to be siblings! You have no right to call me 'Yuu-chan', damn it!!!" Kamijou is out of breath after he stops all the yelling. Takeru says, "I like you, Yuu-chan." Kamijou starts to get angry again, but then realizes that Takeru purposely said what he said to get the stress out of Kamijou.

Takeru gets home and his father tells him that Kayano is not home yet.

Kayano is at a park on a swing and is depressed that Haru never talked to her again after what happened. She looks up at the moon and sees that it's kinda fuzzy and starts to cry. She wishes that she could disappear. Takeru pulls up on his bicycle and tells her he was wondering who the hell it was crying loud on a swing. He tells her that she's always crying and asks if it's his fault. Kayano starts to cry even more and tells him that it's her fault. She tells him that she hates herself because she only looks out for herself and without knowing it, she's hurting someone else. She didn't realize what she was doing until her friend had to tell her. Takeru asks, "So, how are you going to fix it?" Kayano looks up as Takeru tells her that her friend must care for her a great deal if she's telling Kayano what she is doing wrong. A friend wouldn't say that to someone they didn't care about. He says, "She says harsh things to you because she cares about you and believes in you. Don't you agree?" Kayano remembers the time Takeru's friend was complimenting him and starts to understand why everyone likes him. Takeru takes Kayano home on his bike.

The next day at school, Nachan tells Haru that Kayano pulled Kamijou aside because she had something to tell him. They go and see what's going on. Kamijou asks what Kayano wants and she says loudly, "I'm sorry, but I like Takeru-kun now!" Haru and Nachan are suprised that Kayano said such a thing. Kamijou tells her that she's a horrible person and tells her that it's alright because he hates Kayano now too. But as he leaves, he pats Kayano on the shoulder. Kayano goes down on her knees and starts to cry about how nice Kamijou is. Haru goes after Kamijou and tells him that he's a good guy and thanks him. Then she runs to Kayano and asks her why she's crying when she's the one who rejected someone.

Kayano goes to Takeru's classroom and thanks him. Takeru asks her what she's thanking him for and she starts to stutter. Then Takeru grabs her chin and says, "Sorry I put you in a daze, Oneichan." Kayano gets mad and tells him that she's not in a daze! As Kayano walks back to her class, Rika watches Kayano and gives her a cold stare.
